Commons ChamberT2. Legal aid used for injunctions and stays pending judicial review has been vital in preventing ordinary families from spiralling into homelessness and, indeed, in saving the public purse the costs of incorrectly made homelessness decisions by local authorities. For those who are in need and when people’s individual liberty is at stake, legal aid is provided, as is the case with other provisions.
