In the first oral evidence session the Rt Hon Simon Hughes MP and James Crawforth, Principal Private Secretary to the Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice appeared before the Committee on Wednesday 22 October 2014.
The purpose of the session was for the Minister to explain to the Committee what steps are being taken to address the Department’s poor performance in answering written Parliamentary questions in timely fashion in the 2013–14 session, as shown in the figures published at the bottom of this inquiry page. |
