MOD Bicester and Illegal Migrants

Debate between Pete Wishart and Julian Lewis

Wednesday 14th October 2026 Commons Chamber

[Pete Wishart]

The right hon. Member for Croydon South (Chris Philp) says they are fleeing from France, but where does he think they have come from? They come from some of the worst war-torn countries. I challenge him to go there and live for six months just to see how he would get on—[Interruption.]

[Sir Julian Lewis (New Forest East) (Con)]

On that point, will the hon. Gentleman give way?

[Pete Wishart]

I am not giving way any more.
