Bill to be read a Second time on Friday 16 May.
Arm’s-Length Bodies (Review) Bill
Further to the Deputy Speaker’s statement on 28 March, in column 1298 of the Official Report, Mr Speaker has directed that the proceedings entitled the Arm’s-Length Bodies (Accountability to Parliament) Bill on 14 March should be considered void and this should be reflected in the Journal. That title, and associated text, was substituted in error for the Arm’s-Length Bodies (Review) Bill. As the House has been notified, the Arm’s-Length Bodies (Review) Bill had not been correctly printed at that time, which is a requirement under Standing Order No. 14(3). The order for Second Reading therefore lapsed at the rising of the House on 13 March.
Once the Bill had been printed and made available in the Vote Office, notice could be given appointing the next available Private Members’ Bill Friday for Second Reading and so all subsequent proceedings, including on 28 March and today, are unaffected.
Motion made, That the Bill be now read a Second time.
