Question to the Cabinet Office:

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, if he will take steps to ensure that the new legal duty of candour established in response to Phase 2 of the Grenfell Tower Inquiry will be applicable to past incidents.

The Government has committed to implement a ‘Hillsborough Law’ which will place a legal duty of candour on public servants and authorities. The details of this Bill will be announced in due course.
