Lords ChamberThe noble Baroness raises an interesting question. This demonstrates very clearly the transition that we are going through, from fossil fuels to renewable energy. She will know that the Government have a clear policy of moving to renewable energy. It is a transition, during which we will still need oil and—I hope to a much lesser extent—coal to get us from A to Z. I appreciate that it is a complex area, but that is the Government’s position.
My Lords, who is the Minister responsible for the Met Office? I am sorry to say that it used to be me.
I believe that it is a Defra responsibility.
