That, at its rising this day, the House shall adjourn to a day and time to be set by Mr Speaker in consultation with His Majesty’s Ministers, and the provisions of paragraphs (2) and (3) of Standing Order No. 13 (Earlier meeting of the House in certain circumstances) shall apply in relation to the day on which the House shall so meet.—(Penny Mordaunt.)
Lindsay Hoyle Portrait Mr Speaker
- Hansard - -

Before we come to the Adjournment, I want to remind Members that, at 6 o’clock tomorrow at St Margaret’s, we will be holding our own church service. I hope that many Members and staff will be able to join us at that event.

May I just say that this has been an amazing tribute? As I said yesterday, when the House comes together, it comes together in a very special way, and there has been none more special than these last two days. There were 138 contributions today, making a total of 321 contributions. Personally, I have been moved and amazed by the way that everybody has contributed, with all being able to talk about their own little part of their lives that had been played in Her Majesty. It is moving for me, as mine must be one of the few constituencies that the Queen never visited, but there we are.

That is all I want to say, and thank you once again to all the staff of this House, all the security and everybody who has made this work. It really is appreciated, and thank you to all.

Resolved, That this House do now adjourn.—(Craig Whittaker.)
