Question to the Home Office:
How many times the Tier 2 (General) Certificate of Sponsorship cap has been reached in each of the last three months.
Answered by Caroline Nokes
We recognise the valuable contribution that migrants make to our society by filling skills gaps in our labour market, and that the immigration system plays a part in supporting UK growth. The monthly allocation of places under Tier 2 (General) has been oversubscribed three times since December 2017.
We keep all immigration routes under review to ensure that the system serves the national interest.
