Cultural Heritage: Finance
Asked by: Christian Matheson (Independent - City of Chester) Tuesday 11th October 2022 Question to the HM Treasury: To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, what recent discussions he has had with the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport on financial support for historical and heritage assets. Answered by Felicity Buchan The Government continues to support the heritage and cultural sector. There are several sources of funding from Government Arm’s Length Bodies, such as the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Historic England’s repair grants. I would encourage the Honourable Gentleman to look into those. |
