A framework of Greening Government Commitments targets for the current Parliament is being considered by Ministers across Government, and an announcement will be made once arrangements are finalised.

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, whether the Government has made an assessment of the extent to which the single departmental plans for the current Parliament are consistent with the UK's sustainable development aims.

The UK Government is committed to delivering the sustainable development goals as agreed by the United Nations in 2015. We will be reviewing the consistency of our plans and policies with the Global Goals.

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, what recent discussions he has had with representatives of science and research and charity organisations on the potential effect of including anti-lobbying clauses in grant agreements.

The new clause in government grants makes sure that taxpayers’ money is not diverted from their intended purpose and wasted on political campaigning and political lobbying.
As indicated at the House of Lords Science Technology Committee, BIS and Cabinet Office are looking into how this new clause will apply to academic research.

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, how many full-time equivalent staff in all Government departments and agencies in total were working on climate change adaptation in (a) 2010-11, (b) 2011-12, (c) 2012-13, (d) 2013-14 and (e) 2014-15; and if he will estimate the likely number of such staff in each of the next five years.
