To ask His Majesty's Government what assessment they have made of the potential impact of AI agents on the volume and complexity of representations, appeals, and other submissions to public bodies; and whether they are developing a cross-government approach to addressing these implications.

Artificial Intelligence is one of the defining technologies of our age. It has the potential to transform public services and improve outcomes for citizens.

The Government recognises the need to seize AI’s potential as a driver for good growth and better public services, while at the same time being resilient to its potential risks. The Government continues to routinely assess the impact that AI is having across the public sector, including on how citizens interact with key services. The Government is also exploring how it responds to potential increases in citizen use of AI and AI agents to interact with government services.
