Reserve Forces' and Cadets' Associations
Asked by: Lord Mountevans (Crossbench - Excepted Hereditary) Friday 14th February 2025 Question to the Ministry of Defence: To ask His Majesty's Government what assessment they have made, through independent reviews, of the effectiveness of the Reserve Forces and Cadets Associations in building links with (1) the business community and (2) the wider civic community. Answered by Lord Coaker - Minister of State (Ministry of Defence) The most recent Review of the Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Associations (RFCAs) was conducted in 2019 and published on 24 March 2020, being placed in the Library of the House. This robust and impartial Review acknowledged that a key strength of the RFCAs is their extensive volunteer membership. This membership brings with it a breadth of expertise and linkages, likely drawn from across both the local business and civic communities, that enable the RFCAs to perform their functions. |
