European Environment Agency and European Environment Information and Observation Network
Asked by: Baroness Hooper (Conservative - Life peer) Friday 28th March 2025 Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs: To ask His Majesty's Government what action they intend to take to enable the UK to join the European Environment Agency and the European Environment Information and Observation Network at the earliest opportunity. Answered by Baroness Hayman of Ullock - Parliamentary Under-Secretary (Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) Having left the EU, the UK is no longer a member of the European Environment Agency (EEA) or the European Environment Information and Observation Network (EIONET).
We have continued to co-operate with the EEA EU partners as appropriate, with a driving focus on delivering security and prosperity for the British people.
