Pressure Groups: Demonstrations
Asked by: Baroness Foster of Oxton (Conservative - Life peer) Thursday 22nd May 2025 Question to the Home Office: To ask His Majesty's Government what steps they are taking to enhance intelligence capabilities and inter-agency co-operation to pre-emptively address the threat posed by groups, such as Palestine Action, which use innovative tactics for direct action. Answered by Lord Hanson of Flint - Minister of State (Home Office) The police have significant powers available to counter criminal behaviours by direct action groups, and the Government fully supports the police in the use of those powers both to prevent criminal activity occurring, and to ensure that perpetrators face the full force of the law. |
