Spoke in the House of Commons paying tribute to the late Baroness Boothroyd; a wonderful Speaker who broke the glass ceiling being the first female Speaker. She was joyful and witty but suitably firm when required. I was on very good personal terms with her and will miss her.

Fun story: I've only ever seen Baroness Boothroyd in Parliament once and I got too starstruck to say "hello" as she was such a big deal to me as a young girl (I've got a picture dressed as her at 4 or so, like the very normal child I was), and then I cried 🥲
