Reduce Vehicle Excise Duty by 50% for vehicles aged 20 to 39 years

(Estimated Final Signatures: 54,272 - 46 added in the past 24hrs)
Introduce a 50% VED reduction for cars aged 20–39. High taxes force functional vehicles to be scrapped, creating a "disposable" culture. Keeping existing cars is greener than building new ones, as it preserves embedded carbon. This "Young-Timer" bracket supports the circular economy and UK heritage.

- 24,259 Signatures
(Estimated Final Signatures: 36,363 - 182 added in the past 24hrs)
It is legal in the UK to hit a cat when driving and not need to stop or report collisions, leaving them scared, alone, and in pain. Cats are important, loved, valued family members for many and we believe the law should reflect this.

(Estimated Final Signatures: 13,290 - 5 added in the past 24hrs)
A report suggested that many yellow boxes are bigger than they need to be, on average by 50%. We believe the current rules may be abused by some authorities to raise revenue with no evidence of any benefits to traffic flow. Change law to give drivers more leniency with the suggestions below:

- 1,112 Signatures
(Estimated Final Signatures: 6,519 - 66 added in the past 24hrs)
The East West Rail Line was due to open last December for passenger services. It’s still not running. The Government needs to break the deadlock between Chiltern Railways and unions. There needs to be effective negotiation to resolve differences and find a solution. Services need to run urgently.
Ban 20mph speed limits with limited exceptions
- 5,646 Signatures
(Estimated Final Signatures: 6,179 - 159 added in the past 24hrs)
We believe anti car sentiment has become rife and 20mph speed limits are becoming commonplace in many towns and villages which just slows traffic and causes more congestion. There should be a national policy so 20mph limits are only used as the exception, e.g outside schools.

Launch a review into airport terminal drop-off charges
- 2,949 Signatures
(Estimated Final Signatures: 3,931 - 6 added in the past 24hrs)
We want the Government to a launch a review into UK airport drop-off fees which looks into giving the CAA powers to audit and cap all airport drop-off fees. The review should look into ways to abolish profit-making from forecourts, a 10-minute free grace period, and preventing cost manipulation.
Allow test-free A2 to A motorcycle licence upgrades after two years
- 2,882 Signatures
(Estimated Final Signatures: 3,035 - 5 added in the past 24hrs)
We should allow automatic A2 to full A licence upgrades for retaining an A2 licence for 2 years.
The test for A2 and A are the same, and while the type of motorcycle is different, we feel the test doesn't address the extra power allowed on a 35 kW+ motorcycle.
