On 19th February, whilst flying from Malaga back to Luton, I went into anaphylactic shock for the first time. I had no epinephrine autoinjector, and there were none in the first aid kit. Luckily another passenger gave my husband her EpiPen and I received the lifesaving treatment.
Link Child Benefit to inflation and increase thresholds for high income charge

We want women over the age of 40 to be able to get a check for the menopause. There are millions of women aged 40+ in the UK, many of whom are not educated or informed about menopause and the impact it can have on quality of life.
Increase minimum wage for care home workers to £15 an hour

The Government should increase the minimum wage for all care home workers to £15 per hour. Many care home workers are on the current minimum wage, and work long hours every week, just to make ends meet. The government should make it law for all care organisations to pay at least £15 per hour.ur.
Require medical training and regulation of everyone offering ear wax removal

We want the UK government to introduce legislation to ensure that anyone carrying out ear wax removal must be medically trained, and regulated. Currently, anyone who is not a medical professional can carry out ear wax removal without having to register with the CQC.
Government should provide more funding for menopause research

As at the end of Jan 2024, less than 0.5% of the total number of NIHR awards have been for menopause research. A search of open data brings up just 26/7883 of studies relating to the menopause despite the fact that 51% of the population go through it.
