Asked by: Baroness Deech (Crossbench - Life peer) Thursday 13th February 2025 Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government: To ask His Majesty's Government, further to the remarks by the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities on 22 May 2024 (HC Deb cols 975–6) that £18 million had already been spent on the planned UK Holocaust Memorial and Learning Centre, how much they have spent since that date and what the additional spending relates to. Answered by Lord Khan of Burnley - Parliamentary Under-Secretary (Housing, Communities and Local Government) From 1 April 2023 to 22 January 2025 £2.71 million has been spent on project costs, including work on the Holocaust Memorial Bill, preparations for redetermination of the planning application and preparation for the commencement of construction. £1.66 million of that money has been spent since 22 May 2024. |
