Question to the HM Treasury:
To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, how much coking coal has been imported since 2018; and what the value was of the imports by country of origin.
Answered by Victoria Atkins - Secretary of State for Health and Social Care
HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) is responsible for the collection and publication of data on imports and exports of goods to and from the UK. HMRC releases this information monthly, as a National Statistic called the Overseas Trade in Goods Statistics (OTS), which is available via their dedicated website (www.uktradeinfo.com). From this website, it is possible to build your own data tables based upon bespoke search criteria.
The quantity and value of coking coal imported by country of origin from 2018 onwards appears in the table below.
Prior to 2022, the source of data for movements from the EU to the UK was Intrastat, this did not collect information on country of origin. The information on the country of dispatch has been given as an alternative.

Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what discussions he has had with his counterparts in the EU on supplying tanks to Ukraine.
Answered by Ben Wallace
The UK has led the way providing NATO Main Battle Tanks to Ukraine. Earlier this month I announced our donation of a squadron of Challengers, before co-hosting supportive allies in Estonia and attending the Ramstein conference where I met with my new German counterpart. Since then Germany, Poland, Spain, Canada, Norway, Portugal, Finland and the Netherlands have confirmed they will send Leopard tanks to Ukraine.
We are also ensuring the Ukrainians receive logistical support and training to use them effectively, with the first crews already training in the UK.

Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what steps his Department is taking to support NATO allies to respond to the invasion of Ukraine.
Answered by Ben Wallace
The UK has provided substantial support to our NATO Allies. We surged our enhanced Forward Presence in Estonia with an additional Battlegroup and enhanced the capabilities of the permanent Battlegroup for the long-term. We deployed an Aviation Task Force to Lithuania, are contributing to NATO air activity across Europe, supporting air-to-air refuelling and bolstered our presence in Poland.

Answered by Andrew Bowie - Parliamentary Under Secretary of State (Department for Energy Security and Net Zero)
HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) data shows that in 2021, over 10% of UK seed potatoes were recorded as having been exported to the EU, in value terms.
By volume, HMRC data shows that 11,275 tonnes (around 14%) of UK seed potatoes were exported to EU countries in 2021. The net mass exported to each of those EU countries in 2021 is shown in Table 1.

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, what recent discussions he has had with the governments of (a) Tajikistan, (b) Uzbekistan and (c) Turkmenistan.
Answered by Leo Docherty - Minister of State (Ministry of Defence) (Minister for the Armed Forces)
The Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs spoke to the former Uzbek Foreign Minister on 1 December at the OSCE Ministerial Council meeting in Poland. He also met briefly with the Tajik Foreign Minister at the same event, but has not recently met ministers from Turkmenistan. Lord Ahmad met the Turkmen Foreign Minister last year. We regularly engage with our partners in Central Asia to support reform, encourage trade, and to build a secure and stable region.
