To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, how many applications made by EU citizens to remain in the UK were refused by her Department in each of the last six months.

Statistics of immigration applications refused, by the applicant’s nationality, are published quarterly.

Data to 30 September 2022 is currently available. Data to 31 December 2022 will be published on 23 February 2023.

Refusals of applications to the EU Settlement Scheme are available in table EUSS_02 at EU Settlement Scheme quarterly statistics, September 2022 - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

Refusals under the general immigration rules for both asylum and non-asylum applications are available in the Asylum applications, initial decisions and resettlement and Extensions data sets.

The Home Office publishes data on visas in the ‘Immigration Statistics Quarterly Release’. Data on the number of entry clearance visa applications and outcomes of applications for ‘International Agreement (Temporary Worker)’ visas, by nationality, are published in tables Vis_D01 and Vis_D02, respectively, of the entry clearance visas applications and outcomes detailed dataset.

The latest data relates up to, and including, the third quarter (July to September) of 2022.

The Home Office does not routinely publish data on fees from International Agreement visa applications. It also does not publish immigration health surcharges broken down by visa routes.

Information on the age profile of outstanding administrative reviews is not held centrally and is not currently captured in a publishable form.

Current timescales for processing administrative review applications are set out on Gov.UK. For applicants challenging EU Settlement Scheme decisions, Gov.UK (EU Settlement Scheme: apply for an administrative review - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)) states: ‘It can take 12 months or more to receive the result of your administrative review. If we have not been able to decide your application within 6 months, we’ll contact you to update you on the situation.’
