Since we left the EU, the EU import data for 2021 and 2022 was collated from PIMS which is APHA’s Post Import Management System and accounts for all Imports into the United Kingdom that have been entered using IPAFFS (Import of products, animals, food and feed system).
This information is drawn from the external IPAFF’s system not directly controlled by the department.
From 14th April 2022 the United Kingdom temporarily suspended the commercial import of dogs, cats and ferrets if they originated from or have been dispatched from Belarus, Poland, Romania or Ukraine, until 29th October 2022.

We are supporting civil society and independent media in Belarus and have significantly increased our funding since 2019.
The UK has imposed over 100 sanctions in response to the fraudulent elections, human rights violations, and repression of civil society and democratic opposition in Belarus. The UK is pleased to have worked alongside Germany, Denmark and other partners to establish the International Accountability Platform for Belarus (IAPB) in 2021. We are also strong and vocal supporters of the UN's mandate on accountability in Belarus. We back the extension of this UN mandate, and are working to ensure collaboration between the IAPB and UN, strengthening shared efforts to hold the Lukashenko regime to account for its reprehensible actions.

Question to the Department for International Trade:
To ask the Secretary of State for International Trade, what legal advice she has received on whether the Free Trade Agreement between the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Kingdom of Denmark in respect of the Faroe Islands (CP 32) presented to Parliament in February 2019 is compatible with the UK’s commitments to protecting animal welfare and in particular with the Animal Welfare (Sentencing) Act 2021.

Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask Her Majesty's Government who, if anyone, in the UK plays the equivalent role to that played by Mr Abraham Denmark, who was appointed by the Secretary of State for Defence in the United States of America to "coordinate efforts across the Department delivering the AUKUS partnership to help Australia establish a conventionally armed, nuclear powered submarine capability and to accelerate development of advanced capabilities to serve security and stability in the Indo-Pacific".

The UK welcomes the appointment of Mr Denmark to the Department of Defense. The National Security Adviser is the Senior Responsible Officer for AUKUS in the UK and the Cabinet Office is responsible for coordinating cross-departmental efforts.
The Ministry of Defence's Permanent Secretary, as the Defence accounting officer, is responsible for AUKUS capability development objectives.

Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:
To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, what steps he is taking to engage his counterparts in other countries bordering the North Sea on energy cooperation in the North Sea.

The North Seas cooperation, as laid out by Government in its British Energy Security Strategy, will accelerate the development of offshore windfarms with links to continental power grids. This will unleash hundreds of gigawatts of clean energy into North Seas countries’ electricity systems.
The Government has strong, cooperative relationships with North Seas partners and has recently concluded a Treaty with Norway on interconnection and a Memorandum of Understanding with Belgium on offshore cooperation.
The Government has also been working with Denmark to agree to formalise cooperation on the energy transition and is currently negotiating the terms of cooperation on North Seas Energy Cooperation with the European Commission.
