We regularly raise our serious concerns about the treatment of religious and minority groups in China, including the gross human rights violations taking place in Xinjiang, both at the UN and directly with China. The Foreign Secretary did so most recently on 28 July with his Chinese counterpart, Foreign Minister and State Councillor Wang Yi, while I expressed our deep concerns at the 45th Session of UN Human Rights Council during the Item 4 General Debate on 25 September.
