Question to the Department for Science, Innovation & Technology:
To ask His Majesty's Government what distinction, if any, they will draw between individual and organisational responses to Growing up in the online world: a national consultation, published on 2 March, in evaluating the outcomes of that consultation.
Human eyes have been involved in every stage of the Growing up in the online world consultation assessment.
Artificial intelligence (AI) was used to help quickly identify themes in the open text responses to the consultation, the process was robust and quality assured, with human review validating and scrutinising the themes AI identified. Policy officials then used the themes to analyse the responses and develop policy alongside wider evidence and stakeholder input.
Ministers considered a wide range of input and evidence before making their policy decisions.
