Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask Her Majesty’s Government whether they intend to introduce weigh-in-motion sensors to the road networks of England and Wales, in the light of their use in Scotland.
The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) currently uses a network of weigh-in-motion sensors combined with Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras at eleven strategic locations across England. There are no weigh-in-motion sensors in Wales.
