Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask Her Majesty's Government, following the announcement of a study into the possible reopening of the railway line between Colne and Skipton and related matters, when, where and by whom the announcement was made; what was the text of that announcement; and who was invited to attend the announcement.

The Secretary of State for Transport announced the study to evaluate the feasibility of reopening the railway line between Colne and Skipton on a visit to Colne railway station on Saturday 3 February 2018.

Local political, local authority, business and rail industry representatives, a small number of regional business representatives, and a representative of the local campaign group were invited to attend the announcement.
