Question to the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities:
To ask Her Majesty’s Government, further to the publication of the White Paper Fixing our broken housing market, what plans they have to ensure that boosting productivity and innovation in methods of construction will lead to more zero carbon homes.
The Housing White Paper - Fixing our broken housing market - sets out the steps we are taking to stimulate the growth of modern methods of construction. The use of modern methods of construction, including off-site construction techniques, has the potential to speed up the supply of high-quality, high-performance homes. Building homes under factory conditions improves consistency and predictability in housing design and manufacture, and can lead to higher energy efficiency, saving consumers money on energy bills.
