Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask Her Majesty’s Government what is their estimate of the volume of alcohol sold by off-licensed premises other than supermarkets in England and Wales in 2009, 2012, 2013 and 2014.

The Government does not collect data on alcohol sales from retailers. Published data is available annually from the British Beer and Pub Association Statistical Handbook.

The following table contains the estimated percentage of the volume of alcohol sold in the off-licensed trade by off-licensed premises excluding supermarkets in England and Wales in 2009, 2012 and 2013.

Data for 2014 has not been published.
