Question to the Home Office:

To ask His Majesty's Government, further to the Written Answer by Lord Hanson of Flint on 10th February (HL14019), what the timeframe for the recruitment of a new Anti-Slavery Commissioner is; and what steps they are taking to ensure continuity in the role and remit.

As set out in the answer of 10 February, in line with the requirements of the Governance Code on Public Appointments, the Department is following usual processes associated with public appointments in preparation for the current Commissioner's term ending in December.
