Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask Her Majesty's Government what assessment they have made, if any, of whether the Birmingham and Solihull Clinical Commissioning Group is following the updated prescribing guidance for liothyronine issued by the South Regional Medicines Optimisation Committee in July; and what action they are taking to ensure the guidance is being followed.

The Department has not made an assessment and does not have the responsibility to direct clinical commissioning groups on which medicines they can or cannot prescribe.
