Question to the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities:

To ask Her Majesty’s Government what assessment they have made of the impact, if any, of the designation of a selective licensing area on the availability of mortgages for the purchase of houses in that area for (1) buy to let, and (2) owner occupation.

The Department does not collect information on mortgage providers’ lending criteria and their allocation of mortgages in areas designated under selective licensing.
