Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask Her Majesty's Government, following the change of name of the Department of Health to the Department of Health and Social Care, whether there have been any changes in (1) the responsibilities of that Department, and (2) the arrangements in place between HM Government and local authorities with social care responsibilities in relation to health and social care; and if not, whether any such changes are planned.

The Department has taken responsibility for the Green Paper on Care and Support but there are no changes, neither are there any such changes planned, to the arrangements the Government has in place with local authorities in terms of their duties under the Care Act 2014.
