To ask Her Majesty's Government what new evidence they used to inform their decision to list Hamas as a terrorist organisation.

The Government cannot comment on specific intelligence matters.

It has been longstanding policy to keep the list of proscribed organisations under review. Hamas’ listing has been extended to cover the totality of the organisation, following an assessment that the distinction between the military and political wings is artificial and that Hamas is currently concerned in terrorism.
