Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask Her Majesty’s Government whether the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence intends to develop a new assessment process to evaluate orphan medicines for use in the NHS.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence has no plans to develop a new assessment service specifically for orphan medicines.
