Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:
To ask Her Majesty’s Government what assessment have they made of the adequacy of the powers of environmental health officers.

The Government is satisfied that current legislation provides local authorities with the necessary powers to enforce the provisions of food law and local environment regulations.
