Airports have different security equipment and at some airports, including London City, the equipment still requires additional international certification before liquids in containers larger than 100ml can be carried. This work requires security equipment manufacturers to complete further development and to pass an international testing and certification regime comprising multiple states, including the UK. The department continues to engage with airports and equipment manufacturers to support them in achieving this.
