Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask Her Majesty's Government whether (1) Virgin Rail Group, and (2) Stagecoach Group, will be allowed to bid for (a) the new East Coast partnership from 2020, and (b) other rail franchises.
This question was answered on 13th December 2017
All passport holders at the time will be offered the opportunity to bid. Like others, Virgin and Stagecoach will need to meet all relevant requirements.
