As stated in the Departmental Minute on potential liabilities arising in relation to Hinkley Point C laid before Parliament on 21 October 2015, the likelihood of any liabilities to the taxpayer arising as a result of the arrangements to dispose of the plant’s higher activity waste is judged to be very low.
