Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask Her Majesty's Government what assessment they have made of a rise in anti-Armenian xenophobia in Azerbaijan among (1) the government, and (2) the media, of that country.

The UK Government has made no such assessment. During her February visit to the region, the Minister for the European Neighbourhood and the Americas urged all sides to refrain from rhetoric or actions that may delay dialogue or reconciliation between Armenia and Azerbaijan. We continue to urge engagement with the OSCE Minsk Group and Minsk Group Co-Chairs to settle all outstanding matters following last year's conflict.
