Official Cars: Electric Vehicles

Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask Her Majesty's Government what percentage of vehicles used to convey Cabinet, and other ministers, are all-electric.

48% of the GCS fleet is now either battery electric, petrol/electric hybrid or hydrogen powered. The Government Car Service (GCS) is a division of the central Department for Transport (DfT), 16% of their fleet are battery electric vehicles.
The GCS are not the only provider of vehicles for ministerial transport. Some Departments have their own car fleet, others use private contractors or the Metropolitan Police, this information is not held by the DfT.
