Food: Hygiene

Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask Her Majesty’s Government whether they will list the local authorities that have not joined the Food Hygiene Rating Scheme operated by the Food Standards Agency.

This question was answered on 24th July 2015

The Food Hygiene Rating Scheme is a Food Standards Agency (FSA)/local authority partnership initiative operating in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The only local authority across the three countries not operating the scheme is Rutland County Council.

The FSA continues to encourage the Council’s participation so that its local businesses and local residents can benefit from the positive impact that the scheme is having elsewhere.
