The department intends to fund state-funded schools, Independent Special Schools and Non-maintained Special Schools for the additional costs associated with changes to the Teachers’ Pension Scheme for financial year 2019-20, and will be consulting to understand the effects on other sectors. Funding from 2020-21 onwards will be considered as part of the next Spending Review.
