Question to the Department for Education:

To ask Her Majesty's Government whether an overall grading approach will be applied to T Levels.

As we set out in the government response to the T level consultation, published in May 2018, we intend to award an overall grade for T levels. An overall grade will be awarded to any students who successfully complete all of the required components, including attainment of the technical qualification, completion of the industry placement, attainment of level 2 English and maths and achievement of any other specified elements of the T level programme.

We intend to provide more details about the overall grading system for T levels in the next T level action plan, which is due to be published later this autumn.
