There are no specific initiatives focused on abortion law reform in the Commonwealth. The Department for International Development, however, delivers reproductive health programmes in several Commonwealth countries that aim to increase access to family planning services, give women and girls more control over their lives, and reduce maternal deaths from unsafe abortion.
