Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what recent discussions he has had with his Russian counterpart on that country's escalating military intervention in Syria.

We are aware of reports that Russia may have deployed military personnel and aircraft to Syria, and we are monitoring those reports closely.
The Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs discussed Syria with Foreign Minister Lavrov in June and discussions continue at official level.
