Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how many (a) pre-school, (b) primary school and (c) secondary school children have undergone total dental clearances in each year since 2010.

The information regarding the number of total dental clearances for each year since 2010 undergone by pre-school, primary school and secondary school children is not collected. Public Health England does collect information on the number of children and young people undergoing hospital dental extractions aged zero to four, five to nine, 10 to 14 and 15 to 19 although it does not collect information on how many teeth are removed per procedure. The figures are available for each financial year from 2011/12 to 2015/16 and are available at the following link:
