Question to the Department for International Trade:

To ask the Secretary of State for International Trade, what assessment she has made of the difference in the application of (a) tariffs, (b) quotas and (c) non-tariff barriers to exports of Stilton cheese to Japan under the (i) UK-Japan free trade agreement and (ii) EU-Japan economic partnership agreement.

After the agreement is signed, we will lay the full text in parliament. We will also publish a parliamentary report, setting out in detail any areas where there are material differences between the EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) and the UK-Japan Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).
