Question to the Department for International Development:
To ask the Secretary of State for International Development, what steps her Department is taking to help developing countries raise more tax revenue.
Britain is one of the leading donors helping developing countries to raise more tax revenue. The UK has committed to doubling its efforts on tax capacity building by 2020, in line with commitments made in the Addis Tax Initiative. We are working closely with Treasury and HMRC to assist partner countries, donors and international organisations to make rapid progress together.
