Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, whether he has had discussions with his Israeli counterpart on oil exploration in Palestinian waters off the coast of the occupied Gaza Strip.

I have not had discussions with my Israeli counterpart specifically on oil exploration in Palestinian waters off the coast of Gaza.

We support efforts to promote Palestinian economic development and long-term stability and continue to work with international partners to advance peace and security for both Israelis and Palestinians.

The UK remains committed to a two-state solution, with a safe and secure Israel living alongside a viable and sovereign Palestinian state.
