Question to the Cabinet Office:

To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster and Minister for the Cabinet Office, when he plans to reply to the letter from Lord Pickles, Chair of the Advisory Committee on Business Appointments, of 9 July 2021, bringing to his attention a breach of the Government's Business Appointment Rules.

The Cabinet Office has noted the advice received from the Advisory Committee on Business Appointments on 9 July 2021 and is currently considering the letter. The Business Appointment Rules apply to all former Ministers and civil servants, and all should abide by them.
