Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what consultation was held with (a) animal welfare organisations, (b) farming organisations, (c) environmental groups and (d) shooting organisations as part of her Department's study into cage-based breeding of game birds.

Animal welfare organisations, game farmers organisations and shooting organisations were all members of the steering group overseeing the research.
